Today's Web 2.0 Wrap-up comes courtesy of Stephen Jagger over at Geek Estate Blog. His post, 5 Tools to Grow Your Real Estate Business in 2009 is right on.
His top 5 are Twitter, Online Video, Blog, Meetup.com, and Facebook. With the exception of Meetup.com (which I haven't really used too much yet), that basically matches my top 5 tools for the year. I do see how a new set of networking groups could really inject life into your networking, compared to the sometimes stale world of Chamber of Commerce luncheons and some of the other networking groups you are probably a part of. So definitely check them out, as well.
Next in the series of Top 10 lists is my list of the Top 10 Online Real Estate Marketing Tools. A couple of these ended up in our Top 10 Web 2.0 sites, but I think they are such good tools that I wanted to add them again.
In no particular order here are my Top [...]
Next in our line-up of Top 10 lists are the top resource sites and blogs for great tech tips, marketing resources and new ideas. I recommend making a habit of stopping by these sites regularly - you never know what great info you’ll find.

2. The Real Estate Tomato
3. RSS Pieces
4. Duct Tape [...]
It's that time of year again - time for Top Ten lists and yearly wrap ups. So I'll share what I consider the Top 10 Web 2.0 Real Estate Sites of 2008. Will they be the same in 2009? But I'm sure they will be joined by other innovative sites as well, as the popularity and effectiveness of interactive, social web sites grows.
Without further ado, here are my Top Ten, in no particular order:
To be seen as an expert and get clients, you need to be seen. In this socially-connected Web 2.0 world, sometimes this is harder than it looks.
You’ve spent the time seeking out and adding friends on your social network that meet your business goals. But they don’t know you from Adam. Regularly updating your status [...]
Here’s a new take on the 80/20 rule:
When I talk to my coaching clients about adding social networking, I occasionally hear that they don’t know how to balance their business goals with the sometimes personal nature of sites like Facebook. I see this a lot when I’m on Facebook and Twitter, as well. So I’d [...]
Now that we’ve covered the Twitter Guide for Real Estate, let’s move on to tools and tips to super-charge your time spent on Twitter.
1. Advanced Twitter Search - this is where I would start in order to find people to follow. You can search for people you know, and by keyword and area. Follow some [...]
In today’s Weekend Web 2.0 Wrap-Up, I wanted to share a great tip from Joe Boylan of Colorado Springs Homes, posted on Active Rain. He gives some great tips for using Squidoo, the brainchild of Seth Godin, as a way to create free and easy single-property webpages.
If you’re not familiar with Squidoo, you sign up [...]
So if you’ve spent much time networking online, you’ve probably heard of Twitter. Not sure how to use it? Here’s the scoop, and we’ll start from the beginning…

Unlike blogging on your own blog, [...]
Today's Web 2.0 Wrap-Up comes from Traffikd, with a post on 10 Things to Do with your Feed Footer. He's got some really good ideas on ways to extend your reach just through your blog's RSS Feed.
Some of the ones that would work for real estate agents are
#3 - Cross Promote Your Other Blogs (or your website): This let's you direct people to other spots on the web where they can find the valuable information you provide. Sometimes, there's so much info on a blog page that people may miss a link back to your static site, or to another blog you write. Your Feed Footer lets you put this info in a spot where it will be much easier to see.
