Giving your social media tools to your clients
Mon, May 18, 2009
Today’s weekend web 2.0 wrap-up is a post from Dave Smith at the Real Estate Blog Lab on “TweetGrid – Helping your Social 2.0 Clients Prepare for the Move”.
Dave’s got a great idea here – take the tools you use for your social media marketing, and give them to your clients! The tools you are using to find and connect with people on sites like Twitter are also very valuable to your client if they are (even somewhat) active on social media sites. Show them how to use an application like Twitter Local or TweetGrid to make early connections to new neighbors and community members.
As Dave says, “Using these two tools will let clients who are moving to your community get a jump on meeting people and finding places to shop, restaurants to try and local events going on around the community. They can find out a lot about local culture. These are great tools you can introduce to your social 2.0 clients. And it won’t hurt your reputation for being an Agent in the Know about social real estate.”
If you have a fairly web-savvy client list (or even just happen to get a few new clients through your social media experts), think about ways that they can use the same tools you do to make their move easier.
