Google Insights as a keyword tool

Marketing, Real Estate 2.0, Real Estate Bloggers, Social Media Marketing
Knowing the keywords that people in your market use when they’re searching for you (or the service you offer) is extremely valuable knowledge to have. It helps you improve both onsite and offsite SEO, and this helps generate more hits to your site without you having to do any additional work. (Think=less posts to write!)
Today’s Weekend Web 2.0 Wrap-Up comes from the GeekEstate Blog, who recently did a post on Google Insights. I recommend you check out their post, and the free Insights tool from Google. While there are lots of free keyword tools out there (like Wordtracker and Google’s External Keyword Tool), I like Justin’s comments about having the added value of tracking multiple keywords and viewing the search trends, not just history.
Knowing which keywords your prospects are using now is very important if you want to generate a lot of traffic and conversions through your website. So if you haven’t looked at keywords in a while, now might be the time. Check out a few tools, including Insights, and see if you can make some improvements that result in more traffic!

Aloha Rich, I’m glad you liked the post. Insights is pretty awesome for finding new keywords that your competitors might not be using yet. This can help you target less competitive niches to bring your SEO costs down.
