Lose the jargon and speak their language

Blogging should be an easy, effective way to connect you with your clients. But you can ruin that in a minute by talking over the heads of your readers.
Remember that your readers are there because you have information they want. They are starting to see you as an expert, someone that can help them solve a problem. But if you start spouting jargon at them, you lose that connection fast. Nobody wants to work with someone that thinks they’re smarter than everyone else!

It’s easy to fall into “corporate” speak. Most of us have used it for years. But by avoiding jargon (and trying to impress readers with your vocabulary), you’ll impress them with your knowledge. You’ll impress them with your ability to explain technical real estate details in a way they understand.
And you will be the one they want to work with. So lose the jargon and speak their language!
