Marketing with a real estate library?
Wed, Apr 15, 2009
While you may not associate libraries with great marketing ideas, try this one out:
If you’ve been blogging or sending out a newsletter for any amount of time, you probably have some really great articles and information for your clients. Even if you haven’t, you probably have some good stuff you’ve read elsewhere that would be valuable to them. Think about setting up a real estate library on your website (not your blog, it aready archives your posts) as a resource for current and future clients.
Whether you use your own newsletter articles and blog posts, or find good articles at sites like Ezine Articles and ActiveRain (with permission and/or authors’ credit, of course), this can be a good way to increase the sticki-ness of your site (how often people come back to it) as well as building your list/database. Just require a simple signup to gain access to a downloadable pdf, or create a membership site through a membership plugin if you are on Wordpress.
This idea came from Rebecca Levinson on her ActiveRain post: The Top 10 Steps to Get the Junk Out of Your Trunk and Rejuvenate Your Business. You should definitely read the entire post, as she has lots of other great ideas, but this one in particular really struck a chord with me.
