When we think about blogging, we need to be methodical. Here’s what I mean. You cannot just slap up a blog, write random content and expect the world to become interested in you.
When you blog, you need to have something to say and a plan for your blog. Technorati is a great starting point to research other bloggers in your industry. It’s quick and easy, too.
Simply go to Technorati and do some key word searches. Plug in buzz words and industry jargon relevant to your target audience and niche. Think about key phrases your target audience is interested in. Pay close attention to the blogs your searches bring you to.
Technorati offers a great tool to gauge who’s hot and who’s not. They rank blogs on “authority”. This is a gauge to show how many incoming and outgoing links a blog has. Pay close attention to the high ranking blogs. Who is blogging, what are they blogging about and are there ways you can link back to them?
