Weekend Web 2.0 Wrap-Up – 5 Tools to use in 2009
Mon, Jan 5, 2009
Today’s Web 2.0 Wrap-up comes courtesy of Stephen Jagger over at Geek Estate Blog. His post, 5 Tools to Grow Your Real Estate Business in 2009 is right on.
His top 5 are Twitter, Online Video, Blog, Meetup.com, and Facebook. With the exception of Meetup.com (which I haven’t really used too much yet), that basically matches my top 5 tools for the year. I do see how a new set of networking groups could really inject life into your networking, compared to the sometimes stale world of Chamber of Commerce luncheons and some of the other networking groups you are probably a part of. So definitely check them out, as well.
I’d love to hear from you on what tools you’ll be using more as we get into this new year. Have you tried Meetup.com yet? Experiences?

Hi Rich,
Thanks for the comments. Glad you agree with the list.
Regarding Meetup.com – it is good to go out an network at events that matter to you, but I prefer to create events around me and my business. We use meetup.com as an organization tool. We create these meetups for people that we want to do business with and it gives us a way to meet with them, have a beer and been seen as an educator, not just a supplier.
Have a great 2009!
Steve Jagger
