Chris Brogan, who is a very active blogger and Twitter-er, had some great tips for Facebook as well. I think one of the best when it comes to building relationships is adding a line or two when you request adding someone as a “Friend”. This goes such a long way towards good-will, and really increases the possibility that they will approve the request.
And of course, his “Stop Spamming Me” tip should be (but unfortunately isn’t always) common sense. As he says “The rules of permission marketing that exist in the regular email world apply doubly or triply here”.
So if you use Facebook, what Facebook “sins” can’t you stand? What little “extra’s” do you appreciate from people reaching out to you?
