Where’s Your Proof?
Tue, Sep 16, 2008

The proof is in the pudding, as they say. So are you showing your network why you’re the natural choice when it’s time to buy or sell their home?
Whether you use postcards or your blog, “Proof of Success” is a great way to keep in touch with your network and encourage referrals.

Anytime you have a interesting story on a way you were able to help a client, share it! The funnier or stranger, the better. A simple postcard sent to your house list works, as does a quick blog post.
Or, go all out with one of the web 2.0 tools we’ve mentioned before (www.spotmixer.com is one) and create a video testimonial from real clients. People love to hear real stories about other people, and testimonials are no different. Stand out from the crowd. Don’t just tell them you go above and beyond – show them!

Rich,
Agreed with your points here. Wanted to drop by and say that I was just discussing the proverb, “The proof is in the pudding” over the weekend because I used it in a conversation and then when I heard the words I spoke asked the question…where does this come from.
For anyone with an inquiring mind, I went to word-detective.com and this is what they say,
“The entire phrase is “the proof of the pudding is in the eating,” meaning that the true value or quality of a thing can only be judged when it is put to use. Further, “…that the final product, not the recipe, is what counts”.
Thanks for letting me share my nerd like yearning for learning:-)
