Who Have You Networked With Lately?
Tue, Apr 8, 2008
We know it’s important to let friends and family know what we do. At the same time, we invest in marketing to keep our top of the mind awareness primed.
Another key element to marketing goes far beyond traditional means of advertising. Wonder what it is? It’s networking and becoming vested in your community. Join organizations to make a difference. You’ll not only meet new and interesting people who might just be potential clients, you’ll feel good about your contributions.
Here are some quick suggestions:
Join the local Chamber of Commerce and participate in networking events and mixers.
Consider Rotary, Toastmasters or other local civic groups (your Chamber is a great source of information on what’s available).
Create your own business tips group and meet with likeminded people to grow your referral network.
What have you done to network lately? How are you giving back to your community?
